Farmers, ATM and BTM from different villages and working in different across the Meghalaya respectively visited the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Science, Umiam to learn about mass production of biopesticides and biofertilizers. They got a close look at the entire process and also took part in sessions about preparation of biopesticides and enriched compost using bioformulations. These hands-on experiences gave them practical skills for making large amounts of biopesticides and compost. The goal of the visit was to help farmers understand sustainable farming practices, boost their confidence, and make them more self-sufficient. The sessions encouraged them to use bio-inputs for eco-friendly and effective crop management in their region.
